Random information on the term “Agitation”:

An agitator is a device or mechanism to put something into motion by shaking or stirring. There are several types of agitation machines, including washing machine agitators (which rotate back and forth) and magnetic agitators (which contain a magnetic bar rotating in a magnetic field).[citation needed] Agitators can come in many sizes and varieties, depending on the application.

In general, agitators usually consist of an impeller and a shaft. An impeller is a rotor located within a tube or conduit attached to the shaft. It helps enhance the pressure in order for the flow of a fluid be done. Modern industrial agitators incorporate process control to maintain better control over the mixing process.

In a top load washing machine the agitator projects from the bottom of the wash basket and creates the wash action by rotating back and forth, rolling garments from the top of the load, down to the bottom, then back up again.

There are several types of agitators with the most common being the “straight-vane” and “dual-action” agitators. The “straight-vane” is a one-part agitator with bottom and side fins that usually turns back and forth. The Dual-action is a two-part agitator that has bottom washer fins that move back and forth and a spiral top that rotates clockwise to help guide the clothes to the bottom washer fins.

Random information on the term “ADO”:

ADO were a seminal Sino-foreign rock band, formed in Beijing in 1986. They are most remembered for collaborating with Cui Jian, a partnership that yielded Cui’s first complete album, Rock ‘n’ Roll on the New Long March, in 1989. The album included “Nothing to My Name”, the first rock anthem in China, and Cui’s most famous song.

The band took their name from the Swahili word for “friend”. ADO included two foreigners: bassist Kassai Balazs, a Hungarian student, and guitarist/vocalist Eddie Randriamampionona, a Madagascan embassy worker. The band began collaborating with Cui Jian in 1987, the same year the latter left the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. In the years to come, most of ADO’s members were absorbed into Cui’s own backing band, and continued to tour and release new music with him.

ADO’s song “I Just Can’t Say It Casually (Chinese: 我不能随便说; pinyin: Wǒ Bùnéng Suíbiàn Shuō)” was featured on the first China Fire compilation, released in June 1992. The band released its only album, I Just Can’t Say It Casually, in 1996, and subsequently disbanded.
